I am sure you all missed me spamming your dashes with Ravens stuff~~
I am finally ready to see our boys in purple and black winning it all. Not saying that I wasn’t before, but there were different things the past few years.
In 2008, we weren’t supposed to get as far as we did with a rookie head coach and a rookie quarterback. That year was full of surprise and I found the loss easier to take because the season was just so amazing.
In 2009, we were supposed to go very far. But key injuries to our secondary, a lack of good receivers, Joe getting hurt, all ended up to a 9-7 year. Sure we smacked the Patriots around, but I never really expected us to go deep in the post season.
But this year was completely different. We never played our best and the fact that we could have a break out game, ie the Saints game, kept our fan base on the edge of their seats. But again, we never played a full game. In all the games we were in, we should’ve won (except for the first Bengals game). But either an offensive or defense meltdown kept us from it. We had so much potential that it hurt to see the season end like that.
Watching the Packers & Steelers in the Super Bowl was tough. I was just thinking about what if that was the Ravens they were showing during the National Anthem? What if it was Ray Lewis winning his second Super Bowl MVP?
Ray Lewis needs another Super Bowl. Ed Reed needs a Super Bowl. Derrick Mason, Anquan Boldin, Todd Heap. They all need a Super Bowl. But they aren’t getting any younger.
It’s our time.
Bring it 2011.
Maybe post a couple of the best pictures from each game?
I think that would give me something to do, and I think my followers would enjoy it!
Lemme know what you think! :D
One of the major reasons why the Ravens fired quarterbacks coach Jim Zorn was his teaching methods, according to a league source.
Ravens coach John Harbaugh and offensive coordinator Cam Cameron spent all day Tuesday questioning Zorn about how he was coaching quarterback Joe Flacco and were concerned about Zorn being insubordinate, the source added.
Zorn’s background never made him a great fit in Cameron’s system. Zorn spent all of his NFL career either playing or coaching in the West Coast offense, while the Ravens use more of a vertical game under Cameron.
